 Contender Sailcloth has re-introduced the DWX range of laminates due to market demand as there are few options available for durable performance, large cruising sails. These styles achieve high denier counts of Dyneema fibre in the warp without the associated stiff hand and high cost that comes from multiple plies of scrims.  Designed for quality cruising applications on yachts from 40 to 80 feet, the DWX styles exhibit excellent resistance to UV, chafe and tear. The DWX 20 and DWX 30 fabrics are backed with rugged polyester taffeta while the DWX 40, DWX 50 and DWX 60 constructions feature Dyneema taffeta on either side of the film.
